We are happy to share that Dr Arnold Marisa has joined the CABR research team to work on the SPRINGWOOL project, which aims to remove bottlenecks and provide a platform for innovation in Irish-grown wool.
In the SPRINGWOOL project, Dr Marisa’s research focuses on cell culture models to investigate the biological effects of natural wool extracts for skin health and medical device applications.
Dr Arnold Marisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Zimbabwe. In 2025, he completed his PhD in Biotechnology at Munster Technological University, supported by the Interreg North‑West Europe BIOWILL project, which is grounded in circular bioeconomy principles.
