Bioprocessing
Bioprocessing is the utilisation of biological components to achieve desired outputs.
The Centre for Applied Bioscience Research’s facility is well equipped for analytical work and small-scale process development. The laboratories are available to industry and offer help with extraction, purification and concentration; and analysis. These technologies can be applied to a variety of living cells, compounds, extracts, enzymes, etc and associated processes to add value and/or extract high value end products for application in a variety of sectors including food, cosmetics, marine, agriculture, nutraceutical and bio/pharma. Determination of scalability of a bioprocess is essential to achieve commercialisation.
