Welcome Robert Ludgate
A huge welcome to Robert Ludgate to Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre. Robert Ludgate joins the research centre as a Researcher in Regional Bioeconomy Development and Policy.
Robert Ludgate is a researcher in Regional Bioeconomy Development and Policy for the European Union’s Horizon Europe-funded Mainstream Bio and Robin projects. He holds an MSc in Bioeconomy and Business (1st) from Munster Technological University and University College Dublin, completing his thesis on ‘A Just Transition in the Bioeconomy for the
South-West, An Agricultural Policy Study’. Robert is also a participant in the 2022 EIT Climate-KIC Climate Leadership Journey, an extracurricular challenge-based program that empowers future professionals to become a force in creating a net-zero and climate-resilient world by developing future-oriented skills and capabilities.
Robert’s research interests and experience align with UN SDGs 10, 11, 12, and 13 (Reduced Inequality, Sustainable Cities and Communities; Responsible Consumption and Production; and Climate Action).
