Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre is now Centre for Applied Bioscience Research (CABR)
We’re excited to announce that Shannon ABC officially became CABR (Centre for Applied Bioscience Research) as of Wednesday, 27th November 2024!
We would like to thank everyone who attended our rebranding event at Thomond Park in Limerick, including our academic and industry partners, as well as our team, whose commitment has been instrumental in the results Shannon ABC (now CABR) has delivered – and continues to deliver – for its partners.
It was a fantastic event, featuring many engaging talks and presentations, including:
→ A welcome from the Presidents of MTU (Maggie Cusack) and TUS (Vincent Cunnane),
→ A talk from Marina Donohue, Divisional Manager Research & Innovation, Enteprise Ireland
→ A talk from the Vice Presidents for Research, Development and Innovation at MTU (Hugh McGlynn) and TUS (Liam Brown),
→ A presentation of the Centre for Applied Bioscience Research by its Manager, Tim Yeomans,
→ A final talk from Tom Tierney, Chair of the Industry Steering Committee.
The CABR Technology Gateway is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund through the ERDF.
