REVEIRE CABR PhD Researcher Won Award for Best Poster
Ameera Naeem Butt, a PhD researcher working on Regenerative Value Systems for Irish Grown Wool in Ireland (REVEIRE) project at CABR and funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) won the Best Poster Certificate in Bioeconomy (Early-Stage Researcher category) at the ‘Agriculture and Land Use in Ireland: Pathways to a Sustainable Future Conference’, held at the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise, Ireland on 26-27 May 2026.
Ameera Naeem Butt’s poster, titled ‘From Fleece to Circularity: Regenerating Irish Wool Through Green Innovation’, showcases her PhD work as part of the REVEIRE project. Ameera’s work focuses on enzymatic wool scouring as a sustainable alternative to conventional chemical processing, contributing to circular bioeconomy solutions.
Ameera’s PhD research is supervised by Dr Yin Zhu and Dr Catherine Collins at CABR, TUS; Dr Archishman Bose at University College Cork (Project Coordinator); Dr Tim Keady, Teagasc and mentor Dr Tim Yeomans at CABR (Work Package Leader).
