What is the 2D LC/MS system?
The 2D LC/MS system combines two-dimensional liquid chromatography with high-resolution quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry.
Two-dimensional chromatography uses two complementary separation steps, providing greater separation capacity and selectivity than a conventional one-dimensional method. This is particularly valuable when analysing complex samples or compounds that are difficult to separate.
The Q-TOF mass spectrometer provides accurate-mass and MS/MS data that can support the detection, identification and characterisation of sample components. ESI and APCI ionisation options extend the range of compounds that may be analysed, subject to the instrument configuration and analytical method used.
