  • Funded by Enterprise Ireland
  • Manufactured by Courage + Khazaka electronic GmbH
  • Available at CABR for industry collaborations

What is Tewitro® TW 24?

The Tewitro® TW 24 is a unique device designed to measure transepidermal water loss (TEWL) from cultured skin tissue in up to 24 wells simultaneously.

This device is ideal for efficacy testing (to check if a product works as intended) of skincare and pharmaceutical products, offering a reliable alternative to animal or human testing.

How can CABR use it to benefit your business?

  • To help understand how your product affects the skin barrier by measuring water loss from lab-grown skin samples.
  • Ensure reliable, repeatable testing conditions using reconstructed skin models for long-term product studies
